It all started with a simple idea and a lot of passion for the craft: to build machines that would not fail.
Machines that could handle full days, full shifts, thousands of cycles without asking for a break.
In 1962, in a small workshop in the Casablanca neighbourhood of Zaragoza, the first one was built.
It was a tabletop manual die-cutting press.
It had no electronics, no automation.
But it had something far more valuable: reliability.
The customers came back.
They came back because, while other machines stopped, ours kept going.
That is how a philosophy was born which, more than 60 years later, is still intact: to build industrial machinery that works for decades, not for seasons.
Nobody was talking about the circular economy yet. Without knowing it, we were already building sustainability: extending machinery lifespan, optimising performance and cutting material waste.
Over the years we grew, added new technologies and expanded our international presence. But we never lost our essence: building machines to last.
Today we have taken that idea even further:
We have evolved, gone digital and refined our processes, but we stay true to the same conviction we started with: a machine that lasts longer and performs better is the truest form of industrial sustainability.
The workshop grew.
The team expanded, new models were built, new materials and technologies arrived. And our industrial family went from supplying domestic companies to exporting to packaging workshops, graphic arts firms and multinationals across the world.
The team grew again with the second generation on board, professionalising every area of the business.
But one thing has never changed.
Every machine still starts the same way: with a conversation with the client. A problem, a need, a production goal. Then we design, adjust, reinforce, calculate and test. Every axis. Every millimetre. Every part. And if it does not add up, we go back to the drawing board.
Because we do not believe in standard machines. We believe in machines that fit the way you work, not the other way around.
Today, from our plant in Zuera, we still build every single Cauhé machine.
We design them, build them, install them and maintain them. And when you come back 20 years later asking for an upgrade or a repair, we meet, smile and pick up where we left off. Because our machines last. And so do our relationships.
We keep moving forward, adding advanced safety, automation and technology. But we never forget what brought us here: well-crafted mechanical engineering, honest precision and close service.
